Communication: how we contact you

Email

The main mode of communication with students is via email, so once you are issued with your King’s ITS username it is extremely important that you check your email account regularly. Access your email on the web via King's Webmail.

Please note that we will not send emails to you at addresses other than your College email address (firstname.surname@kcl.ac.uk)..

Change in contact details

It is important to keep the University up to date; if your contact details change during the course of your studies, please inform us of this via Student Records.

If you fail to receive an important communication because you have failed to read your emails or failed to keep your address up to date, then you must accept responsibility for any problems that may arise as a result.

When you contact us

As already mentioned you must use your  KCL email address when corresponding with staff.

Students are being asked to create an email signature containing the below information in order to help identification:

  • student number (from your ID card, not the k-number);
  • programme of study;
  • year of study.
