Biography
Maria Duaso is a lecturer in Adult Nursing at King’s College London, having previously held academic posts at the University of Reading and the University of Navarra (Spain). She was appointed Associate Dean (International Engagement) in June 2025 to strengthen the Faculty's international partnerships, support global mobility for both students and staff and identify new opportunities for collaboration in research and education.
Maria's research interests and expertise lie in the area of health promotion and public health. Maria’s research is supported by Cancer Research UK and international funders to investigate the factors that influence the uptake, adoption, and implementation of smoking cessation interventions. It spans across several clinical areas including substance misuse, diabetes and maternity care.
