Biography
Ace joined King’s College London in 2019 as an undergraduate in BSc Psychology (Hons) which he graduated from in 2023. His studies revolved around the intersectionality between minority identities, autism, and the development of severe mental health difficulties.
Ace is currently an NIHR Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, working under the supervision of Dr Vitoratou. The fellowship entails attending the MSc in Advanced Statistical Modelling and Health Informatics and a research project on the development of psychometric assessments specific to the presentation of autism in Asian individuals in collaboration with Nora Uglik-Marucha and Dr Vitoratou. The project aims to investigate the degree of difference in autism presentation between Western populations and minority Asian groups and to identify factors that moderate similarities in autism traits such as the degree of acculturation across immigrant generations.
