Biography

Adam is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography interested in the political ecology and economy of green transitions, extractive industries, and the politics of water.

Adam completed his BSc in Geography at the University of Bristol. He holds an Msc in Migration, Mobility and Development Studies (Distinction) from SOAS, where he focused on the political economy of forced migration, labour migration and global labour activism.

Before returning to academia, Adam worked at the British Red Cross as a Casework Coordinator for the London Refugee Support Services team, managing a complex caseload covering a wide range of situations relating to insecure housing and homelessness, crisis support, mental health and disability advocacy. Prior to this, he worked in roles with unaccompanied asylum seeking children at a local authority, at an environmental charity, and at the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
