Biography

Aidan joined the Department of Political Economy in January 2020. His research investigates the different ways in which social media advertising influences politics, with a particular focus on its effects on elections and public opinion. He is also interested in algorithmic bias, and the outcomes this can have in an increasingly digitised political world.

Aidan holds a BA in Politics and Philosophy and an MA in Global Security, both from the University of Sheffield. Prior to joining King’s College London, he worked for almost four years in paid social marketing, which he continues to do alongside  his PhD.
