Alejandra's research looks at impact and evaluation of museums. She uses relational approaches to explore museum professionals', funders' and policy makers' understandings of impact and evaluation. Particularly, the study focuses on how these understandings are used for decision-making in programming, funding and setting agendas.Since 2022 she has been a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) at King’s College London, leading seminars and educational activities in different modules of the ECS and CMCI departments, as well as the Summer School. For her contributions in teaching and her role as GTA rep, in 2026, she was recognised with the CMCI GTF Leadership Award. In 2021, she was selected to be one of the research assistants of the first cohort of King’s Parliamentary Internship, where she worked with Baroness Bull.Alejandra holds a master’s in Advanced Studies in Museums by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the École du Louvre, where she wrote her master thesis: French museums as actors of social integration. This piece of work looked at how French museums were used as tools by central government to fulfil a social integration agenda after the terrorist attacks of 2015. She then continued to work in the Ministry of Culture of France in the Department of Audiences Policies, were she contributed to different governmental accessibility and educational programmes. In 2014, she completed her BA in Art History, specialising in Medieval architecture and writing her dissertation on acquisition policies in museums.
