Biography
Dr Alessandra Palange is an interdisciplinary researcher interested in co-production approaches to addressing the climate and ecological crisis, and the role of education at the intersection of public engagement, innovation and policy.
Alessandra earned a PhD from the UCL Institute of Education. Her project was a study in comparative education, examining political critique and democratic practice in Muslim e-learning contexts. Since completing her doctoral studies, she has led a postdoctoral project on faith-based activism and climate policy education through co-design. She has also worked on the project 'Social Entrepreneurship at the Grid Edge', which explores how community groups can generate value through the energy system.
Alessandra has recently published a chapter on co-production approaches to climate crisis communication in the Routledge Handbook on Climate Crisis Communication.
She is currently working with Dr Anna Rebmann and Dr Andreana Drencheva on a project funded by the Centre for Sustainable Business, exploring co-produced research in the Management Studies literature.
