Biography
I am investigating the mechanism behind metabolic disorders associated with gestational diseases, including intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). I am looking at changes in hormone signalling which regulate insulin release in GDM, and how increased serum lipids are part of the pathology of ICP, and mechanisms which may cause this increase.
