Biography
Having previously worked at IoP and then at LSE where I obtained my PhD, I spent 8 years in the civil service as a government economic advisor before returning to KCL/IoPPN in 2014. My area of expertise is in health economics including economic evaluation of health programmes and technologies.

King's Health Economics
King's Health Economics, led by Professor Sarah Byford (Director), and Dr Barbara Barrett (Deputy Director), consists of a team of health economists with expertise in designing and conducting high quality economic evaluations of healthcare programmes and policies that contribute to healthcare policy and practice in the UK and abroad.
Centre for Implementation Science
The Centre for Implementation Science is home to a team of expert implementation and improvement science researchers, including health economists and statisticians. This team are investigating how best to help ‘implement’ evidence-based practice and clinical research within health services nationally and internationally.
The role of adult social care for parents with learning disabilities when a child is no longer in their care
We will produce guidance for social workers in adult and children’s services, practitioners in integrated teams, and family court lawyers/judiciary.
