Biography

Professor Savile was Honorary Secretary and Editor of the Aristotelian Society (1978-82), its Monographs Editor (1984-6), and a member of the Editorial Board of Mind since 1992. He was Visiting Associate Professor at Chapel Hill, Northern Carolina (1971), guest lecturer at Cambridge (1986) and Professor at the Palacky University in Olomouc, Czechoslovakia (1991).

  • Aesthetics
  • History of modern philosophy, particularly on rationalism of the 17th century and on Kant's critical philosophy
