Biography
Dr. Antonio Melillo, M.D., joined the Early Psychosis: Intervention and Clinical-detection Laboratory (EPIC Lab) of the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience as a visiting researcher on March 3, 2025. His research and academic interests include a) ethics in psychiatry, and research on the development of alternatives to coercion; b) the pathophysiology of negative symptoms and cognitive deficits in schizophrenias; c) prevention, with a particular focus on early identification approaches of at-risk mental states.
Dr. Melillo is currently a fourth-year Psychiatry resident at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", where he is also pursuing a PhD degree.
