Biography

BSc Biology, MSc Advanced Biological Sciences; University of Liverpool. Member of Kings Genomics, based at the Institute of Social Genetic and Development Psychiatry (SGDP). Currently in collaboration with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) as part of a project to sequence twenty-two thousand genomes using long-read Nanopore technology. My research background comprises a mixture of industry and academia, in areas of molecular biology, bioinformatics, cellular biology, and drug discovery.

Currently establishing and optimising a sample processing pipeline for the QC, preparation, and automation of extracted human DNA that is to be sequenced using Nanopore sequencing

Research Interests

  • Bioinformatic analysis of whole genome using long-read sequencing data.
