Biography
My work deals with the interface between the history of political thought, democracy, and public opinion. I investigate how political actors have theorised and framed the power of the people from the age of revolution to the present in shifting media landscapes.
I'm currently completing my first book project, The People's Two Powers: Public Opinion and Popular Sovereignty, as well as a side-project on the history of liberalism. I'm also starting to lay the groundwork for a next book project, Propaganda and Democracy: A History.
I joined King's College London as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2022. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Brown University and Yale University.
