Biography
Dr Audrey Goman completed her PhD in Microbiology at the University of Toulouse, France (2021-2025) at IRSD, investigating pathogenic extracellular bacterial vesicles and lipid-modifying enzymes as virulence factors in Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa She is now a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Dr. Joseph Wanford's group at King's College London Department of Infectious Diseases. There, she studies the molecular regulation of Klebsiella pneumoniae capsule expression during infection.
Research

Wanford Group
The Wanford lab employs genomic, and wet lab infection biology techniques to study: (1) how Kp regulate expression of its major virulence factor, a slimy layer surrounding the pathogen called the polysaccharide capsule, and (2) how both the capsule and other accessory genes modulate interaction of Kp with host cells
