Doctoral research

My research concerns the financialization of international capital mobility in two main sections. First, it explores how foreign direct investment (FDI) and metallic flows, such as cross-border gold and silver transactions, are financialized, shaped by their specific mobility models and market structures. In particular, it emphasizes the role of hierarchical market dealer systems in intensifying the financialization process. Second, it identifies the types of financial crises arising from capital swings in heterogeneous growth models and analyzes the most effective method for regulating capital flows in each scenario.
