We are a multidisciplinary research group exploring the politics and policies that enable pathways to inclusive and sustainable growth in a financialised and prematurely de-industrialising global economy.
Our approach draws on pluralist traditions in political economy – from Keynesian to Schumpeterian to Institutional – with a strong emphasis on the global and local linkages and power relations in shaping development outcomes.
Our work focuses on firms, labour, capital (including money and finance) in a world marked by structural hierarchies and uneven development – both within and between countries – while engaging in broader debates related to climate, technology, inequality, and democracy. Together, we aim to better understand and inform the political economy foundations for shared prosperity in the emerging world.
