Head of Student Wellbeing

Biography

"As the Head of the Student Wellbeing Team, I am incredibly proud of the work the team do.

Our team uses a Social Prescribing approach, enabling students to navigate the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing. Our team works collaboratively with services throughout the university and within our community.

All our advisors are well trained practitioners, working within a Coaching Framework and qualified to ILM Level 5. We also utilise skills from the MHFA and ASSIST programmes to ensure the best possible level of care is provided to our students.

When navigating the complex needs of our diverse student body, our team is committed to working inclusively and without prejudice. We want all students to feel confident in seeking support from our advisors.

Personally, I have led teams in Higher Education for nearly 20 years and hold an MBA in Educational Leadership and Management, affording me the skills and experience needed to successfully manage such a great team. I find great personal comfort in the knowledge that the work our team delivers has a real and lasting impact on the wellbeing of our students.

If you would like to learn more about what our team can do to support King’s students, please do get in touch."
