Biography

Charlotte is Database Manager for the Translational Oncology and Urology Research (TOUR) team. She joined the team in April 2018 after previously working as Clinical Data Coordinator in the Breast Cancer Genetics team from May 2016. Prior to joining King's College, Charlotte worked as a Research Assistant with the Medical Research Council (MRC) Lifecourse Epidemiology Unit in Southampton. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry and an MRes in Translational Cancer Medicine. Charlotte is responsible for managing and developing infrastructure for research projects across multiple tumour types including prostate, bladder, breast and lung cancers. She is involved in the data management work strand of the MRC Stratified Medicine Consortium ReIMAGINE and has worked to implement and manage the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) infrastructure to allow accurate and high-quality data collection across studies. Charlotte coordinates Guy’s Cancer Cohort, a joint initiative with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust, which utilises ‘opt-out’ consent to allow the use of anonymised routine clinical cancer data for research purposes.
