Biography
Claire Lyon obtained her BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Bristol, largely specialising in pharmacology in her final year. She then went on to achieve an MSc in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences Research at King’s College London, being awarded the BMSR prize for best overall student performance.
Currently, she is applying a multitude of approaches to explore the molecular mechanisms by which the recently discovered peptide toxin of Candida albicans, candidalysin, drives epithelial metabolic dysfunction during fungal infection.
