Biography
Dr Colin Pilkington is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Chemistry, King's College London. He is a part of Professor Paula Booth’s group working on the biophysical characterization of membrane protein folding.
He previously held a postdoctoral position at Imperial College London engineering novel lyotropic systems, elaborating on work from his doctoral thesis (supervised by Dr Yuval Elani and Professor John Seddon).
Prior to his PhD, Colin spent a few years in industry as a synthetic chemist (GSK, Illumina, & Sphere Fluidics Ltd.), having trained in medicinal chemistry.
