
Biography
Daphna Fenchel is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London, and the Project Manager for the Brain Health in Generation 2020 study. Her research focuses on developmental neuroscience, with particular interest in early brain development and its associations with vulnerability and childhood developmental outcomes. She uses quantitative approaches, including neuroimaging and large scale health data analysis. She holds a PhD from the Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders at King’s College London.
Research Interests
- Developmental neuroscience and early human brain development with a focus on neurodevelopmental vulnerability and resilience
- Neuroimaging (MRI) of the developing brain from foetus to childhood
- Brain-behaviour relationships
- Longitudinal and population based approaches, integrating neuroimaging with large scale health, socio-educational, genetic and epidemiological data
