Ellie Halsall

Ellie joined the Professional Services Team at the School of Education, Communication and Society in February 2018. Prior to that she was an early years Montessori teacher and nursery manager, after working in children’s book publishing for Scholastic and Egmont.

Responsibilities

Ellie works closely with the Senior Programmes Officer - Initial Teacher Education Officer, Subject Directors, Tutors and the Programme Director to ensure the efficient administration of the PGCE programme:

• working closely with students through all phases of the course from registration and assignment submission, to professional placements and final assessment boards
• administration of committees, whether with student representatives, PGCE management or school partners
• upkeep of subject handbooks and the virtual learning environment
