Biography
Emily White is a PhD student and trainee health psychologist in the Department of Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London. Funded by the MS Society, her PhD focuses on adapting a psychosexual digital intervention for managing sexual difficulties for people with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Emily holds a distinction in both Psychology BSc and Health Psychology MSc. With a focus on health psychology, her work has explored health inequalities among minority groups, and risky sexual behaviours in the context of the pandemic.
She is currently completing her Stage 2 training in Health Psychology alongside her PhD, where she has undertaken placements supporting the delivery of the COMPASS digital CBT intervention for people with MS.
Emily also teaches as a GTA on the Psychology BSc and Health Psychology MSc.
Thesis title: The Acceptability and Potential Effectiveness of a Self-guided Digital Intervention for Sexual Difficulties in People Living With MS.
