Eva (Evie) Miles

Evie graduated from UCL’s Institute of Education with an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 2020. She also holds a BA (Hons) degree in Modern Languages from Durham University, specialising in French and Spanish.

Evie has been an English for Academic Purposes teacher since 2017. She has previously taught on pre-sessional courses at University College London, the University of Southampton, and Cranfield University. In addition, she has taught on foundation and in-sessional courses at the University of the West of Scotland (London Campus), Kaplan International College London, and at two universities in France (in Nice and Limoges).

Outside of teaching, Evie is passionate about tackling environmental issues and for her MA dissertation, she compared the language used to discuss climate change in British newspapers.

In her free time, she is part of a competitive cheerleading team and also enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and hiking.
