
Biography
Eva is a PhD student in Digital Humanities, specialising in the intersection of digital media, identity, and gender, with a particular focus on how female players navigate identity formation within video game environments. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Journalism and Communication from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Master of Arts in Creative Media from City University of Hong Kong.
Her academic background is complemented by a diverse career in the Hong Kong media industry, including roles as a travel writer for a leading magazine, an assistant director for drama productions at Hong Kong’s largest television station, as well as a project manager and an artiste manager within the television industry. Before pursuing her PhD, Eva worked as a professional photographer for over a decade, bringing a strong visual sensibility and storytelling expertise to her scholarly work.
