Dr Fiona Rattray

Visiting Researcher

Biography

Fiona Rattray was a part-time PhD student (2017-2025) within the ReSpect Lab, supervised by Professor Francesca Happé and Dr Michael Absoud, and Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. She was funded from the Institute of Women’s & Children’s Health, Kings Health Partners (KHP) and the NIHR Maudsley BRC. Fiona remains part of the ReSpect Lab as a visiting researcher.

Fiona’s research interests include the identification of neurocognitive and neurobiological markers of atypical visual attention in childhood neurodevelopmental disorders.  She is taking a multimodal approach, exploring the relationship between eye-tracking, electroretinogram, optical coherence tomography and behavioural outcome measures.  Fiona works collaboratively with children’s neurosciences and ophthalmology at KHP and with an industry partner (Braingaze). She hopes that the inter-disciplinary nature of the project will promote new insights.

Fiona is a Chartered Educational Psychologist and holds an MSc in Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychology.
