Ms Fiona Rattray
Research student
Biography
Fiona is a part-time PhD student (2017-2023) within the Re:Spect Research group, supervised by Prof Francesca Happé and Dr Michael Absoud, Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. She has funding from the Institute of Women’s & Children’s Health, Kings Health Partners (KHP) and the NIHR Maudsley BRC.
Fiona’s research interests include the identification of neurocognitive and neurobiological markers of atypical visual attention in childhood neurodevelopmental disorders. She is taking a multimodal approach, exploring the relationship between eye-tracking, electroretinogram, optical coherence tomography and behavioural outcome measures. Fiona works collaboratively with children’s neurosciences and ophthalmology at KHP and with an industry partner (Braingaze). She hopes that the inter-disciplinary nature of the project will promote new insights.
Fiona is a Chartered Educational Psychologist and holds an MSc in Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychology. When not working she likes to climb hills with her family and their mischievous dog!
