Biography

Professor Graham Wynn is Vice President (Education & Student Success) at King’s College London. He joined King’s in April 2026 from Northumbria University, where he held the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education). Prior to this, as Pro Vice-Chancellor of Education at Leicester University, Graham established a strong record of enhancing student success through strategic innovation, most notably through the Curriculum Transformation and Education Excellence strategic change programmes, which underpinned Leicester’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold Award in 2023.

As Vice President (Education & Student Success), Graham is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the University’s education strategy. He oversees the Student Success pillar of King’s Strategy 2030, including AI-driven transformation of the digital student experience, working with the nine faculties to ensure that King’s continues to achieve educational excellence, and that the University’s reputation for student success reflects and sustains our world-leading position.

At Northumbria, Graham led large-scale transformation programmes, capital projects and institutional responses to complex challenges in the Higher Education sector, including embedding the use of learner analytics and mental health indices to provide holistic support for students. He also led the university’s strategy on Generative AI in Education, establishing the Centre for Responsible AI and delivering the rollout of a generative AI model by Anthropic for all students and staff.

A professor of theoretical astrophysics, Graham’s research is focused on the study of astrophysical accretion. Recent research topics include accretion disc physics, interacting binary stars, gamma-ray bursts, exoplanets and cool dwarfs, and cosmological feedback processes. Graham has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and has been principle or co-investigator on over £10 million of research grants.
