Biography

Hannah Schupfer is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Business at King's Business School. She conducted her PhD at the University of Oslo, Norway, conducting research on corporate responses to rising sustainability pressures in the oil and gas industry.

Hannah's research focuses on sustainability-related change dynamics in organizations and industries. She draws upon literature of organizational and institutional theory, including legitimacy, purpose, frames and framing, and green innovation.

Her expertise lies in qualitative research methods, drawing on archival material, interviews, and observations.

During her PhD she spent several months at the Judge Business School, Cambridge University and WU Vienna. Her work on dual legitimacy challenges during issue salience was awarded the Best Paper Award at the Ivey-ARCS PhD Sustainability Academy. Prior to her PhD, she was working in the public sector.
