Biography

Helen joined the ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health in November 2023 as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, where her work focuses on psychosis and social determinants of health. Over several projects, she is investigating the impact of social isolation on long-term outcomes of psychosis, and social interventions aiming to improve outcomes in psychosis.

Prior to joining the Centre for Society and Mental Health, Helen worked as a Research Fellow for the Mental Health Policy Research Unit (MHPRU) at University College London (UCL).

Helen completed her PhD at King’s College London in the Department for Psychosis Studies (2023), where she was particularly interested in the Clinical High Risk for Psychosis paradigm and the future of Precision Psychiatry. Helen also holds a BSc in Psychology (2015) and MSc in Mental Health Research (2017) from the University of Nottingham.
