Biography

Ieisha holds a BA (Hons) in Religion, Politics and Society from King's; an MA in Culture, Diaspora, Ethnicity and an MRes in Social Research and Psychosocial Studies from Birkbeck, University of London, where she is currently studying for a PhD in Psychosocial Studies. She also spent time studying at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (USA) during her undergraduate studies and was recently a visiting doctoral scholar at the University of Ferrara (Italy).

Ieisha recently joined King's from Birkbeck where she worked as a Senior Library Assistant and also had roles as a Research Assistant and a Graduate Teaching Assistant. She was introduced to Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) while seconded to Birkbeck's Digital Education team, as a Digital Education Assistant, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ieisha is particularly interested in increasing awareness of, and the skills needed to comply with, accessibility regulations among staff and students using educational technologies. She is also passionate about supporting staff and students to develop a strong foundation of essential digital skills.

In her spare time Ieisha enjoys studying Italian, sewing, visiting museums and galleries, solo travelling and keeping active by swimming and playing netball.
