Biography

Dr Ivan S. Grigoriev is Lecturer in Education and an Assessment Advisor at King’s Academy, where he works closely with the Dickson Poon School of Law to support the implementation of TASK, the university-wide initiative to enhance assessment and feedback practice at King’s.

A political scientist by training, his research has examined judicial politics, business–state relations, and reform processes in Russia and the post-Soviet region. His work has been published in leading comparative politics and area studies journals, including Democratization, Research and Politics, Business and Politics, Post‑Soviet Affairs, East European Politics, Communist and Post‑Communist Studies, and Russian Politics.

At King’s Academy, his current research focuses on programme‑level assessment metrics and the design of teaching and assessment tools for the responsible integration of generative AI in higher education.

He has over a decade of teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, having convened and taught modules in political science and comparative politics, EU studies, game theory, Russian politics, and policy analysis.
