
Biography
Jade is a PhD candidate at King's College London, funded by a full studentship from the Dickson Poon School of Law. Her research focuses on criminal law, theories of punishment, and sentencing.
Jade holds an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Oxford and a BA in Politics and Government from Sciences Po Paris. Before beginning her PhD, Jade worked as a Research Associate at the Sentencing Academy. She currently teaches Criminal Law at King's College London.
PhD Thesis
Jade’s PhD thesis, provisionally titled 'Theorising the Role of Character in Criminal Sentencing', examines the theoretical foundations for treating an offender’s good character as a mitigating factor at sentencing.
