Biography
Dr Jasmine Hine is a HCPC registered Health Psychologist and Research Fellow in Health Coaching (Behavioural Health). Jasminecompleted her BSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology at the University of Chichester (2015-2018), an MSc in Health Psychology at the University of Southampton (2018-2019) and a PhD in Health Psychology at Imperial College London (2021-2024). Jasmine's PhD involved an exploration of financial incentives to improve medication adherence for children and young people which was conducted as part of a PhD Studentship programme funded by Asthma UK Centre of Applied Research (AUKCAR). Jasmine also completed her Qualification in Health Psychology (QHP; Stage 2) via the independent British Psychological Society (BPA) route alongside her PhD which was completed in Oct 2024.
Jasmine has clinical and research interests in supporting and promoting health and well-being for those with chronic conditions; especially by encouraging healthy behaviours such as healthy diet management, physical activity, sleep hygiene, stress management and adherence to medication in chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension.
Jasmine is supporting the Enhanced Maternal and Baby Results with AI-supported Care and Empowerment (EMBRACE) research project which aims to improve health outcomes for mothers and babies worldwide by addressing common risks during and after pregnancy. During this project, Jasmine will specifically focus on developing the digital health intervention to improve health behaviours (such as physical activity and nutrition) for pregnant women by utilising health coaching and behaviour change principles.
