Biography

Jenix is a first-year doctoral student at the department of Geography. In 2021, she earned her combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Climate Change and Adaptation from the College of Climate Change and Environmental Science, Kerala Agricultural University in Vellanikkara, India.

Her thesis was titled "Characterizing wet-bulb temperatures on the East Coast of India". After graduation she continued her work on heat waves across India and extended her research to heat and health, exploring physiological thresholds of extreme heat. She also worked as a community volunteer coordinating grassroots level intervention projects.
