Biography
"Hello! My name is Jess (she/her) and I have recently joined the team in September 2025 as a Student Wellbeing Administrator.
I have always had a passion for wellbeing enhancement which influenced me to study a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology. During my time volunteering as a course representative during my studies, I particularly realised my passion for supporting student wellbeing within a higher education setting.
Since finishing university, I have worked in different roles within higher education, including as a Student Health and Wellbeing Officer and a Student Support Administrator. I really enjoy supporting the admin and operational aspects of my roles within student services. I experienced a period of poor mental health whilst at university, and this helped me to recognise the key role administrative staff play in providing that initial support and information so I could be supported.
To look after my own wellbeing, I frequently attend exercise classes, my favourites being Zumba and Pilates and enjoy long walks with my dog, Rosie, and snuggling up with her on the sofa! I also love spending time with my friends and family, whether that be going out or watching a movie indoors, I find this really helps me feel at peace."
