Dr Joe Chilcot is a Reader in Health Psychology and Head of the Health Psychology Section, at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London. His research is focused on the psychological aspects associated with long-term conditions, particularly advanced kidney disease. He is also interested in the detection, management and treatment of depression among individuals living with kidney disease and other LTCs. He was honoured to receive the Inaugural Donna Lamping MDT Researcher Award for Outstanding Research in Kidney Care in 2012 and early career research awards from the Division of Health Psychology (2013) and UK Society for Behavioural Medicine (2015).
