Biography

Dr. John Daniels is an applied machine learning researcher with extensive expertise in developing deep learning models for biomedical and clinical applications. He holds M.Eng (2015) and PhD (2022) degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London, where his research focused on developing deep learning methods to improve diabetes management tools. He has also carried out postdoctoral work in the area of dengue fever monitoring, where he led multidisciplinary teams of engineers and clinicians to develop predictive models for dengue fever in resource-constrained settings.

Dr. Daniels is the author of more than 10 publications and presentations, in leading journals and international conferences, such as IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics and npj Digital Health. His interests lie primarily in deep learning, multimodal learning, uncertainty quantification, embedded systems, and healthcare technologies.
