Biography

Joseph Pryce is a Teaching Fellow in Global and Public Health. His research focuses on the evaluation of public health interventions and surveillance approaches for infectious diseases that disproportionately affect the world’s most neglected populations. Prior to joining King’s, he worked as a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Joseph studied Biological and Medical Sciences at the University of Liverpool before completing an MSc in Tropical Disease Biology and an MRes in Quantitative Skills in Global Health.

He was awarded a PhD in Global Health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2022, where his research evaluated novel approaches for the surveillance of neglected tropical diseases using vector sampling and molecular screening. His research has contributed to the development of international guidance for neglected tropical disease surveillance and has informed World Health Organization policy on the treatment and prevention of malaria. He has extensive experience working in collaboration with international academic partners, NGOs, funders, ministries of health, healthcare professionals and community members across a range of global health settings.
