Dr Julia Elliott

Julia leads the recently established Project Assurance Team within the Department of Business Assurance. In this role she provides independent assurance for major projects across the university, working closely with both the university’s enterprise portfolio and King’s Portfolio Office to ensure a focus on the projects that are both important to King’s and benefit most from independent review. In this role she mainly undertakes three different types of review: independent project lessons learned exercises, benefits realisation reviews, and ‘deep dive’ reviews. Julia works closely with colleagues in Business Assurance, covering complimentary aspects of project management, governance, and funding.

Julia has followed a dual-track research management / leadership and P3M (project, programme, and portfolio management) career, working in the scientific civil service before joining King’s. Prior to starting her current role in Business Assurance, she has mainly undertaken project and programme management roles focussed on set-up of research partnerships.

In addition to her job role, Julia is a committee member of NEST (King’s community network to engage, support, and bring together parents and carers), with a focus on support for carers.
