Julie is a clinical academic physiotherapist specialising in ageing, with a particular interest in falls, frailty, cognitive impairment and rehabilitation interventions. She is a senior lecturer at King’s College London, teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy courses. She has led on two fall prevention clinical trials and contributed to a number of systematic reviews.

She is currently the clinical lead for the National Inpatient Falls Audit which covers England and Wales and a member of the committee contributing to the development of NICE guidelines for fall prevention. She works clinically at King’s College Hospital leading a falls clinic and providing liaison services to care home residents.
