Ms Karley Thompson

Karley is part of our Global Placements team within the Work-based Learning Unit, managing the development of industry placement opportunities for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences.

She oversees the full student lifecycle of support for all years of study managing various processes including placement approval, careers education support and events, student visits, formative assessment and documentation across:

• Artificial Intelligence with a Year in Industry BSc
• Chemistry with a Year's Professional Placement BSc
• Chemistry with a Year's Professional Placement MSci
• Chemistry with Biomedicine with a Year's Professional Placement BSc
• Chemistry with Biomedicine with a Year's Professional Placement MSci
• Computer Science with a Year in Industry BSc
• Computer Science with Management & Year in Industry BSc

Karley also builds connections with employers, curates opportunity provision and supports hosts in being best equipped to deliver a high-quality experience to our students.

The post has a dual reporting structure to the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences.
