Lecturer in Developmental Psychopathology

Biography

Dr Catherine Jones is a Lecturer of Developmental Psychopathology (Education) at the Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry Centre, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). She teaches on the Developmental Psychology and Psychopathology MSc and is a Senior Personal Tutor for the School of Mental Health & Psychological Science (MHaPS).

Catherine’s research mainly focuses on exploring parenting and family relationships in diverse family forms, and parents’ and children’s perspectives of family life. Recently Catherine has also been conducting research on the link between menstrual health conditions and mental health.

Before joining King’s, Catherine completed her ESRC-funded MPhil and PhD at the Centre for Family Research, University of Cambridge. Her PhD examined parenting and child outcomes in families with a primary caregiver father. After completing her PhD, Catherine was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cambridge and UCL exploring the experiences and wellbeing of parents and children in families formed through assisted reproduction.
