Biography
Kristy Campbell is a Researcher and Artist, currently based at King's Academy, King's College, where she is GTA Development Programme Lead. This role is designed to support staff and PGRs across the university with their continued professional development, through various workshops and professional accreditation.
She is also Unit Lead for the PGCHE and MA Creative Education courses at Norwich University of the Arts and was previously Seminar Tutor on the BA Education Studies programme at UCL.
Kristy completed her PhD within the department of Education, Practice and Society at the IOE, UCL. Her background is in adult teaching and learning, workplace learning, higher education in the UK, with a particular interest in transition, identity, and care ethics. Prior to this, she completed an MA in Education (IOE, 2020), a PGCHE in Art, Design, Architecture and Media (2019) and an MA in Fine Art (2014) both from Norwich University of the Arts.
She has also participated in research projects for the Welcome & Induction team and the Arena Centre at UCL, is a co-editor of the Postgraduate Pedagogies Journal, and has published on the experience of Graduate Teaching Assistants in various journals. Her latest publications can be found in Higher Education Quarterly (2024), 'Theory & Method in Higher Education Research' (Vol 10) (2024), and the London Review of Education (2024).
