Biography
Lidan joined King’s College London in 2022 as a PhD student at the Department of Population Health Sciences. Her doctoral research focuses on using deep learning and real world speech data to detect depression, aiming to develop objective and scalable tools for mental health assessment.
She holds a BSc from the Jilin University, China (2015–2019), where she completed a major in Software Engineering. She went on to obtain an MSc in Advanced Computing from the Department of Informatics at King’s College London in 2020. After completing her postgraduate studies, Lidan joined Deloitte China as a data analyst, where she worked on data-driven solutions before returning to academia to pursue her PhD.
