Biography

Professor Louise Rose completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2007 and was subsequently recruited to a tenure track position at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto where she remained for 12 years before joining King’s College London.

Louise is a PhD prepared intensive care nurse with over 20 years of clinical and research experience in England, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. She is also an Honorary Professor at the Lane Fox Respiratory Unit at St Thomas’ Hospital and is the Research Director for the Provincial Centre of Weaning Excellence at the Michal Garron Hospital, Toronto, Canada.

Research interests:

Professor Rose an active research programme focused on improving outcomes and experience of mechanically ventilated patients across the care continuum from the emergency department, intensive care unit, specialised weaning centre and in the home.
