Biography

Dr. Matthew Branch is a researcher with over 15 years of experience in stem cell biology and regenerative therapies for eye diseases. His research focuses on understanding how stem cells can restore vision by repairing or replacing damaged tissues. Dr. Branch’s main area of reasearch focuses on the development of clinical grade (GMP) processes for manufacturing retinal cells – specifically photoreceptors, from pluripotent stem cells. The ultimate goal of this research is to develop new treatments for conditions such as age-related macular degeneration and inherited retinal disorders. He is committed to advancing bench-to-bedside research that improves patient outcomes and expands the potential of regenerative medicine.
