Biography

Megan is a PhD candidate in Psychological Medicine at the Centre for Affective Disorders, within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London. Her research is funded by the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre and focuses on advancing precision psychiatry approaches for treatment-resistant depression through the development of patient-informed clinical prediction models and the investigation of novel biomarkers of treatment response.

She is additionally interested in patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) in statistical and machine learning approaches for healthcare decision-making, as well as methods for integrating the patient perspective into the design, validation, and psychometric evaluation of clinical outcome assessments used to define treatment response in affective disorders.

Prior to joining King's in 2024, Megan worked as a strategy consultant in the biopharmaceutical industry. Across a range of therapeutic areas, she delivered projects spanning medical affairs, clinical development, and integrated evidence generation. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford (2020) and an MSc by Research in Integrative Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh (2021).
