Biography

Mehdi Yazdi obtained his PhD in Pure Mathematics from Princeton University in 2017 under the supervision of Professor David Gabai. He then worked at the University of Oxford as a Glasstone Research Fellow in Science, followed by a Titchmarsh Research Fellowship, and a UKRI Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. He joined King’s College London in 2021 as a Lecturer in Pure Mathematics.

  • Mapping class groups of surfaces
  • Algorithmic aspects of the above
