I studied a joint honours BA in English Literature & History at the University of Sheffield, moving to King's College London for my MA in Shakespeare Studies and subsequent PhD. I have taught at the University of Exeter, University College London, City & St. George's University of London, and Oxford Brookes University.

Teaching

I teach modules on early modern drama, prose, and poetry across BA and MA programmes.

Expertise and public engagement

I have worked with theatre organisations like Shakespeare's Globe on their anti-racist and inclusivity work, training education staff and volunteers. I have presented my research on inclusivity and diversity in the early modern period to the Cambridge School Shakespeare International Advisory Group (Cambridge University Press) as they develop their new school editions.
