Biography
Miguel Borda is a Visiting Research Associate in the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing at IoPPN and an Advisor in Clinical Geriatrics, Ageing Research at King's (ARK).
He currently specialises in geriatric medicine at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Spain and a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Age-Related Medicine (SESAM), Stavanger University Hospital, Norway. He graduated in Medicine with specialisation in Geriatrics from the Pontifical Javierana University of Bogotá, Colombia and received his PhD from the University of Stavanger, Norway.
He was previously a geriatrician at Hospital de la Ribera, Alzira, Valencia, Spain and at the Faculty of Medicine, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia where he is currently a Visiting Professor at the Javeriana Aging Institute.
He has been recognized as the best geriatric researcher at several events in Latin America, including the 2024 Congress of the Spanish Society of Geriatrics. He also received recognition in 2024 as Norway's best young researcher, an award given by the Norwegian Regional Health Agency - Helse Vest.
